The Importance of Quality Content

So you've decided you need a website. In today's day and age, if you don't have a website for your local business, depending on the niche, you could missing out on a huge chunk of the market that is searching for businesses just like yours on the web.

Those terms that are used to find a specific service online are called keywords. A keyword might be something like "roofing concord NC" or maybe you searched something to the tune of "website builder near me" to find our website. These keywords are what drive customers to your website and even more importantly, your Google Business Profile to in turn create a call and ultimately, a quality lead.

Before we dive into a web build or SEO (search engine optimization) project, the first thing on our to do list is figuring out which search terms have the most search in your area, and which of those terms have the highest buyer intent for your business's specific services offered. If we were building you a roofing site and GMB (google business profile) in Concord, for example, we'd optimize your content for keywords such as "roofing concord nc" or "metal roofing concord" or even "roofing contractors near me". All of these carefully selected keywords are then meticulously woven into the content of your entire website, with the main targeted keyword for your business being the most prominent on the home page.

If done correctly, your content or "words on a page" will become your most powerful asset. Think about it. Why would Google decide rank your roofing site for "storm damage concord nc" if those words weren't even anywhere on your website? Google wants to rank your site for the keywords that you're targeting, and the better content you have, the better chance you will have of ranking on the first page and eventually breaking into the map pack at the top of the search result pages. Your content will be the main determining factor in telling google which keywords you'd like to rank for and the pages you will appear on. All that's left then, is everything else! Leave that up to us. It's what we do best here at SEO Select. Give us a call or leave a form submission. We'd love to take a look at your specific business needs as it pertains to the online marketplace.
